Victoria Neason Wallace to join Bates as vice president for enrollment
Victoria Neason Wallace was named vice president for enrollment and dean of admission and financial aid at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. She comes to her new role from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where she has been serving as executive director of strategic initiatives within the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. Before Colby, Neason Wallace was senior assistant director for student volunteers in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Margarita Guillory Named The C. Allyn and Elizabeth V. Russell Professor of Religion and Culture in The United States at Boston University
Margarita Guillory was named the C. Allyn and Elizabeth V. Russell Professor of Religion and Culture in the United States at Boston University. She is a professor of religion and director of the university’s African American and Black diaspora studies program. An interdisciplinary scholar of African American religion, Dr. Guillory has published several books, including Africana Religion in the Digital Age (Routledge, 2024). She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with a minor in African American studies from Emory University in Atlanta, a master’s degree in theological studies from the University of Saint Thomas, and a Ph.D. in religious studies from Rice University in Houston, Texas.
