A Vermonter has been officially crowned Miss Black USA 2026 following a national competition in Washington, D.C.
Harmony Edosomwan, a Winooski resident, claimed the title at the 39th Annual Miss Black USA Pageant on Aug. 9, while also taking home the People's Choice and Heart of Service awards. A philanthropist, TV host, entrepreneur, and food justice advocate, Edosomwan plans to leverage her platform to expand food security efforts nationwide.
"Vermont, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you. I could not do this without you," Edosomwan shared on social media. "Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for welcoming me; this has been my home for the last 10 years."
Miss Black Massachusetts, was first runner up.
