Grisha Coleman is a new full professor in the Music and Theater Arts Section of the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her research explores tensions between our physiological, technological, and ecological systems; human movement, our machines, and the places we inhabit. Professor Coleman has taught at Northeastern University in Boston and Arizona State University.

A graduate of Wesleyan University in Connecticut, Professor Coleman earned a master of fine arts degree in music composition and integrated media from the California Institute of the Arts.
